Rubicon Express Closed?

At least it appears that it isn't a perm. shut down.. I am guessing they were just having some management issues...
-
Wow that came to a suprise to me. Just had ordered a few lifts through them.
-
all currently ordered items will be shipped per usual, any new orders will be delayed.
It is a temporary shut down and they should be up and running, business as usual very soon.

Rubicon Express has been purchased by Transamerican Auto Parts/4 Wheel Parts.

Well, at least those of us running their stuff should be able to get replacement parts in the future.

Has anyone heard any good or bad about Rubicon Express since they were bought and opened back up? I might be wrong but didn't they use to have issues with bad bushings?

I might be wrong but didn't they use to have issues with bad bushings? They still have the bushing problem. A few guys on the Jk boards have had the bushings go and then the tube that holds the bushing eggs out.
It suck because the old stuff was always pretty decent quality.

I've been looking at new lift options ever since I saw your 3'' next to my 3.5'' and yours sat about 1'' higher. I looked at the Rock Krawler kits and they seem pretty solid but are pretty involved with the install. The RE 3.5'' SUperflex seemed to be a nice package. -
Clayton FTW... What you get with Clayton is outstanding customer support, parts availability, and bulletproof components. I had a transmission/skidplate cross-member break and they replaced it at 1 year old, free of charge. And they have always been there to answer my questions and supply me with odds and ends and very good prices. Johnny Joint rebuilds are easy and cheap, and offer great isolation between the suspension and chassis. Buy the Johnny Joint tools from Currie and you are golden...

NJ Rubi has the clayton kit. I was looking at it this past weekend and it looks really nice.
You can get the rock krawler kit with regular control arms instead of the 3 link rear if you are looking for an easier install.
