Can always do a quick run on a Sunday morning while camp dries out - I remember many times doing that when we camped at Kephart.
That actually used to be the norm until one dreaded trip changed our lives forever. :o

For anyone that hasn't been to the natural bridge it's something to see.

I don't think I ever heard that story? Was it posted on here?
Is that trail still accessible or now blocked off? Just curious...

Bummer... Guess I'll have to wait until I get around to getting my membership renewed...
Jim, that's the reason I started the other thread so we could get an idea what we are doing rather than waiting until Sat. morning and having a big CF.
Sorry if I missed that thread - oops! Natural Bridge is kinda cool to see. It does cost $$ to enter the grounds and walk down below it. I saw it maybe 20 years ago. Here's another idea... a Skyline Drive loop? The round trip from Brandywine (entering Skyline Drive at Elkton and exiting at Luray) would be 4 hours and 160 miles. Could do some trail hiking, picnicing or just sightseeing from our vehicles.

Its a story thats only discussed at GW
I've never been to Natural Bridge and would like to see it since we are going to be close and there is a lot of things to do and see there. Keith and I will be doing that and anyone that wants to come is more than welcome. The more the merrier.

They installed poles to keep anything wider than an ATV from getting through.

Gotcha - thanks.

I'm still with you Patti we just wont be able to go into the caverns or the butterfly garden, we thought maybe while you guys do that we would have lunch or something.

Not sure we will do the caverns.
We've both been to Luray, hard to top that.
Here's another thread from the "Hell trip" with some pics.
Sorry, it's in Member's Only.
Reading these couple threads really brings back the intensity of that day.
Keith and Bob, as a follow-up to our chat in the parking lot before yesterday's meeting, a side trip to the New River Gorge Bridge would be longer than I thought from Brandywine. It's actually about 3.5 hours each way. FYI it's in Fayetteville WV (according to Mapquest) in case you want to view the route online. Just wanted to clarify that.
Let's hope it holds out.
Fingers crossed!!!! I can't wait!!!!

I'm not sure how long I'm going to be able to walk around but will give it my best shot. I wasn't able to have treatment this week because of my white & red cell counts were too low but they are giving me shots to help. I'm going to ask doc to postpone next weeks treatment so I don't feel like crap.

We will take care of getting you around whether it's in a wheelchair, a scooter, or a wheel barrel.
Love you Babe.
wheel barrel? LOL!
Weather is still looking sweet!
