My 98 tj has 180k on what I'm told is the original clutch. It's starting to give a little more effort to get into gear. I recently replaced the worn bushing where the rod meets the clutch pedal. That took up some play but it seems the pedal still has roughly a inch or so drop before it has any resistance. Once on the floor and in gear it starts to move as soon as the clutch pedal begins to come up. This issue of somewhat harder shifting has just begun. The fluid level in the reservoir is OK. Any help from the nice helpful folks on here? Thanks

Probably time for a master and slave kit. It sounds like the hydros are not releasing the clutch. The fluid bypasses the seals internally. A preblead combo is under $200. Takes about an hour to install but some of the bolts are hard to reach.

you can buy through Rock, but as much
trouble as i had with my last slave/master
