The u-bolt flip kit turned out to be homemade garbage. Nobody really makes one for this application. I went with tried and true u-bolts with custom plates I made instead.

I used to have the U-boat skid plates. Still have them in my garage actually. While they did protect the u-bokts quite well they were a PIA to put on and off. But I guess you're not supposed to do that often

Wow! Can you make my CJ-7 look that pretty, Andy?
I have the U-bolt skids and they take quite a beating. Dynatrac has a flip kit for the YJ Dana 30 (for $200!), but I guess it doesn't go over the diff the way the CJ does?

He needs new seats. But as we all know, there is ALWAYS something we need

He's not really looking to do heavy off-roading just yet, so these should do fine. The wagoneer axle on cj springs is the problem with the kits. Don't want to buy it to find out if it fits.
There are plenty more issues to be dealt with, including the seats. They are ridiculous.
And Jay, if you want your jeep to look good you've got to stop banging it on rocks! -
looking good. Glad u got your hands on it.
