Assuming there is interest, we'll set up a "Jeep 101" group at the May Member Appreciation ride. This will be a chance to see what your Jeep can do in the forested/rocky trails, with minimum risk of damage or fainting. We'll cover the very basics of how to handle your Jeep offroad before we hit the actual trails. Then work our way through trails of varying difficulty so you can develop a feel for your Jeep. We've done several of these before and worked out well.
There is a list of recommend gear to bring to all trail rides here: Trail Ride Gear But, I'll suggest that you have a functioning Jeep (if you think it might break down, ride shotgun with somebody else), fire extinguisher, recovery strap (no hooks), sturdy shoes or boots, work/mechanics gloves, tire pressure gauge and a CB radio (FRS radios will work for this specific 101 day). We'll be on the trail until the afternoon, so bring drinks and a lunch.
