Clutch Linkage

  • For those who have manual trannys, and have done a body lift, how did you compensate for the additional extension needed on the rod for the clutch pedal to the linkage  I'm thinking of cutting mine and welding an extension. But actually I'm looking for different ideas.

    Thanks

  • You don't need to lengthen the rod if don't go over 1" or so of body lift (which the general consensus is that you shouldn't do anyway).

By the way, what are you running? That may make a difference.

  • I haven't heard of anyone adjusting the clutch linkage with a 1" body lift on a TJ. You may need to re-locate the transfer case linkage, but there are brackets available for that.

  • 4" suspension, lowered transmission/transfer case, 1" body lift for 35" tires. Yes, I realize I can put the transmission/transfer case back up where it was. But, for right now I am looking for options without making that change.

  • Are you the guy who had a Scrambler you were rebuilding with the fiberglass tub?
