Last week I picked up a complete windsheild for the YJ $100!!! Today it was time to make it green. Stripped the frame sanded it,masked off the windsheild and painted it green. Now its in the makeshift paintbooth(my shed with a propane heater cranked up to high)to bake. Tomorow I'll fold back the congo cage/rack and swap the windsheild assembly. Then time to get the beast inspected.

make sure you swap the vin plate if the YJ has one on the windshield! I had all kinds of issues with the CJ when it came to inspection, the state troopers were involved. :suspicious:

    Cory's Powder Coating!

this has been posted before, but I thought I'd bring it up again.

He has done some great work for me and Ed (themistaken) and Lots of guys at work and around Dover.

if you need some quality work done at a very good price send me a PM and I'll give you his #

it show my VIN at GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating ) : 1819-2272 kg

that is 4,010-5,008lbs... I didn't realize they were that heavy from the factory.
add in skids, bumpers and winch and it seems like a beast.

what happened to the light nimble Jeep.

Hmmm...35's, barely up to the rim...exaggerate much? ;)

I didn't measure... but the tires were sitting on top of 6-8" packed down snow, not that it matters, but here is a better pic.

when I got out it was up to my knee... without boots on my knee is at 21"...

either way it was fun, and just like anything it always seems bigger when your doing it. ;D

I got to yank my neighbor down his drive... he tried to make it out of the garage (that I had to drive it into yesterday(because he doesn't know how to drive))
he backed out all slow and of course a Hyundai awd on street slicks did nothing but sink to the frame.

he bribed the guy plowing the street to do his driveway, but his suv was still stuck...

I told him that I'd just yank him out... my driveway was untouched 2' of snow... I blasted thru it and proceeded to try to find an attachment point under his rig.

He actually asked me if he could hook up to the spare tire... I should have hooked to his plastic bumper, but I didn't.

couple good yanks and he was out.

and I now remember why I hate pulling out people... the smell of clutch burning don't make James a happy boy,
not bad... but just a reminder.

Picked up a freshly powder coated diff cover and guard for the front... Cory did these also, and the work is amazing!
the stock cover was pitted to hell and the guard had a major case of rock rash...

"""if you need something done, let me know and I can connect you with him, he is also posted about in the vendor section"""

    Also wanted to add...

I know my jeep is different... I was just talking about the yellow and mtr combo...

besides... most of the mods on my jeep are take offs from club members, so I'm not really trying too hard to be unique ;D

to name a few members I've taken seconds from...

    knoxrents
    theyell01

    Keith C
    Quadna

and probably some others I've forgotten...

I was a fan of Rocky Road a few years back when I was running Japanese 4x4s, but I never thought much about them when shopping for the Jeep.

well they do sell lifts and such, but one of the things I really liked are the Bar Pin Eliminators they have,

    http://www.rocky-road.com/jeepbpe.html

Not only good for getting rid of the bar pin design in TJ Shocks, but would be nice addition for a BB that didn't come with shocks...

Or someone like me that added a spacer to the top of a lift kit...
