Price dropped to $4500.
Car may need new front brakes soon - I drove it this weekend, and they are starting to squeek a little bit.

Excellent condition 1989 Pontiac Trans Am GTA. This car has been my weekend/nice weather driver. 305ci V8 has never been abused, and completely stock with exception of Flowmaster 80-series muffler & K&N filter. Car has always been garaged, never smoked in. T-top seals are in excellent shape and are conditioned with silicone regularly. Rear window and T-tops are limo tinted, side windows are 30%. JVC CD/MP3 player head unit (red backlit to match gauges). All speakers are 3-way Pioneers. Tires are new, paint is flawless, A/C blows cold. Car is located in Newark, DE, and is Delaware tagged until July, 2013. I will also include a car cover.
Quirks:
- There is a small 1/2" rip in the leather shift boot.
- Power antenna does not work, and is disconnected, since I don't listen to the radio.
- Trip odometer is flaky. If you set/reset the trip, it will stop working indefinately, but always starts working randomly. As such, I don't use it.
- The headlight motors are less than a year old and function fine, but, as with all 3rd gens, sometimes one or both gets lazy and doesn't pop up for a few miles of driving.
- The power locks are getting weak. They function fine, but sometimes do not fully lock/unlock the doors.
- I do not drive it in the rain, but I did get caught in a bad rain storm and there were a few drips on the rear passenger seat. Tops do not leak with regular car washes. I have tried this several times to determine to find the cause of the leak, but eventually gave up and chalked it up to the extremely bad downpour.Link to photo album: https://picasaweb.google.com/1044060...eat=directlink

Does anyone in the Newark area happen to have an SWR meter that can help me get my CB antenna tuned? Will trade for 6-pack...
Thanks! -
Guys, I've got to weld on a new coil spring perch (below), and patch a hole in my floor. Can anyone recommend a good welder? Is Holly Oak 4x4 still around? Thanks!

I can solder. Guess I'll hit rat shack this weekend...

I'd really like to put a new end on - the cable is zip tied in 50 spots around my tub and dash, and I'm lazy. Anyone know how to put a new end on? do you need a special tool? I've got cold beer if anyone is able to show/help me...

So, my CB cable looks like this, and no longer works. Is this something that can be repaired, or do I need to replace the whole cable?

2004 TJ 4.0L
A few months ago, I got a CEL. Scanned it with my scan tool, and it read P0138, so I replaced the o2 sensor it called for. I even used an OEM o2 sensor from the dealership after reading about people having problems with the Bosch o2 sensors in our trucks.I am STILL getting this code after a hundred or so miles. Could there be something else wrong - not just the sensor? It's the sensor after the 2 precats on my exhaust header, and it's fairly easy to get to from under the truck. I've checked the connection several times and reset the code, but it comes back. With 60,xxx miles on the truck, could one of the precats be going bad?

From the DE Mem bridge, Mapquest puts the trip at 1 hour, 2 minutes.
http://www.mapquest.com/maps?1…209+Vineyard+Rd+&2z=08004I'm assuming we'd all want to get there before 11:00
We could meet up whenever, and roll out at 9, and be there in plenty of time...
Probably pack a small cooler for lunch. -
Hamilton LJ - what time should we plan on being there? I figure it's ~1.5 hour drive...

Thanks guys, for the suggestions, but to thicken the plot, I have a 2-piece driveshaft with a carrier bearing from an early '90's Nissan. These things have non-replaceable U-joints (they're pressed in). I'm having a hard time finding someone who can even put these on a balancer...
