I have an extra halogen light I'm going to mount on the back bumper or swing arm that I want to turn on when I put the jeep in reverse... Not sure the best way to trigger the relay...

Option 1) Splice into one of the reverse lights wires and have it close the circuit and trigger the relay.. Not sure if it will make that reverse light dimmer than the other as a result....

Option 2) Somehow hack into the right fusebox wire... But not sure how to get to it...

Option 3) Something genius one of you comes up with...

I figure I run another line to the back for the light and trigger it by relay... Maybe put a switch in the cab so I can disable if I ever want to... Not sure if have a rear light like that would trouble the good old boys at the DMV or not...

    Any thoughts?

And I say.... just take every bit of spare cash you can find and pour it into your jeep... even if you only take it to the mailbox and back... Something sick and twisted about how much fun it is to mod it... I also have only been on the beach but plan to hit a trail run once I get a beater to use for work...

And if you haven't hit the wife and kids scenario yet, I say go to town on it.... Worse thing is you wasted some cash... not like you spent your kids private school money...

    JEEP.... Just Empty Every Pocket......
    So it is written....

Well I put 33's on my ride with the 3.73 that came stock in the 6 cyl auto... It's a little sluggish and I have to manually kill the OD sometimes.. I'm going to go to at least 4.11, but 4.56 seems the likely jump... You just give up the high end but pick up the torque... Your 0-55 improves... but 80mph becomes a thing of the past...

My mileage now is a joke... like 12 mpg... I can't see going to 4.56's helping it either... Good thing I didn't buy it for the fuel economy...

I had 33 with 10.5 and was fine but it rubbed as Jason mentioned until I put some spidertrax spacers on it...

12.5's you may want better backspacing.... or bumpstops but then your turn radius sucks....

    From this...

Ive been getting my work done by Trucks Unlimited in Middletown recently... Very pleased with his work...
I saw a sign up in the office today for Viper alarms and car starters... He does nice work...

I always prefer the locally owned and operated non-chain shops myself...

Checkem out.... Handy if you are local...

Ok... the lift is on... and I have on order the track bar and a steering stabilizer...
One thing always leads you to do two more... not to mention I think I want new rubber and rims...

My ride needs a bath... but I do like how it sits above my Commander now....

Be careful what you ask for on this board.... We are like the friggin government.. I doubt we could pass a bill with a unanimous vote... One thing is for sure, if you want oppinions, this is the place to go get em...

    So, to recap....

    Adjustable track bar = good

Drilling into frame bad, but not irreversible...

    Big bolts are good....

Handling many degrees of misalignment is good...

Sideways mounting Johnny Joints is bad....

When my dog pees on the carpet, it is bad....

I think after all the above I will end up with the Teraflex....

I'm getting a Rubicon Express 3.5" lift being put on as we speak...

Mechanic told me I should consider the adjustable front track bar for
stability.... Can I get some input from the peanut gallery on this one?

I'm not doing an SYE yet... I want to see if I get vibration first...

Didn't even consider the track bar... necessary? Mostly an on road driver,
though I aspire to get dirty at some point...

I've heard all the same stories... I just put some Spidertrax 1.25" on my TJ last month... I had the same rubbing issues with my 10.5 x 33's.. Now it turns without rub... I was going to move the bump stop but that makes your turn radius wider and you end up doing 3 pt. turns more than you would like... My parking garage at work was a pain before I got the spacers... Now... it's all good...

Ok.. I had a Borla header and exhaust put on my 06 TJ and after 6 months or so the manifold started leaking... cam on so slow I didn't really notice it for months... Then the O2 sensor gave an alarm as it wasn't seeing the proper exhaust flow by and the engine light came on...

Anyway, took it back to Rhinolinings DE who put it on and they tightened it up, but it got loose again in 3 months... They tightened it again... now, 3 months later it is loose again... Whats it take to get these things to stay friggin bolted on tight.

I guess I could attempt to crank on the bolts myself but I'm a little dangerous under the hood... Do they have a specific torque they need to go to? How hard are the bolts to get to? I don't suppose you can put loctite on an engine manifold as it is so hot...

    Ideas anyone?

I forget the name of the place behind the post office on rt. 40 by fox run, but they did my TJ's front windows and did a good job for $60. Even had the eye doctor give me a waiver and did the DMV paperwork... Of course, I have never been pulled over for it... But I am looking forward to inspection when they try to break my chops :)

Thanks... that 5th pin was throwing me.. I also wasn't sure about my switch having both a positive and negative... In looking at the diagram, I guess it for the little LED on the switch itself... I would think it would work without the ground but the LED would be out...
