My buddy uses petroleum jelly on his canvas top for his boat. Works great!
I saw on Qtec that Best Top sells something to protect the fabric it might do similar to what the 3M stuff does but also have some UV protectant in there.
QuoteBestop® Protectant specifically formulated for Bestop® soft tops, molded/soft accessories, exterior/interior vinyl. Bestop® Protectant safely repels dust, grease, dirt and mildew and is exclusively developed for complete protection against UV fading, cracking and hardening. This easy application spray on, wipe dry contains no silicone or petroleum solvents.
I'm out folks. Sorry about that! We didn't get enough work done on the house and have to complete it before we go on vacation.
be careful with them rims on the rocks.. they look a little too pretty
I was thinking the same thing...
before the meeting on 2/9/08 if anyone is there that wants to try the tire climb we will try it. Also before the parade also.
I couldn't make the meeting my Gramps has the Cancer and isn't doing so well.
What was the outcome? Are we still on for this Saturday? :-\
:useless:
I know she's got em. Probably just hasn't pulled them from the camera phone yet.
I had a cold ride home...
As soon as my soft top gets here it's going on the Jeep. Until then it's NO TOP season! :o
If you want good mileage, don't buy a wrangler.
Bigger tires, lift, armor will all decrease your mileage.
You're not kidding. Mine gets about 10-12mpg. EEEKK!!
Man that is a serious hit to the old wallet!

This item fits 1984-06 Jeep Wranglers (including Rubicon) and Cherokees with a Dana 44 rear axle.
This kit only works with 3.92 and numerically higher gear ratios.
When you buy a kit like this does all of these parts just replace what you have in your stock axle housing? If so this seems like a good choice yes?
As for your question. My Jeep has 35X12.5QR15 BFG ATs with the stock axles and it is running fine on the road. I am worried that something might break this summer when I get it off road but that's life. If your not going to be doing a bunch of off roading yet I'd just wait on your axle upgrades. My plan is drive it till it breaks and then fix it. BUT this is not my DD.
This is what I used to get all of the gear I needed. http://www.delawareja.com/forum/index.php?topic=30.0
It was pricey for me but I needed to buy a bumper to mount a 35" tire and a 35" tire + wheel. The little stuff is much cheaper. Stock Jeeps can go a long way! My first Jeep was a stocker and I did a lot with it. Join the group at one of the events at RC and do the Green/Blue trails and if there is something that you don't want to do go around.
WOW!!! Excellent gift and fantastic video.
No you do not have to be a member to be in the Wilmington Parade.
It appears you are not a member...?
Seems like a pretty big group! Is there a limit to how many people (Jeeps) can drive in the parade? :-\
NICE... We have the same wheels!
Keep them polished. Once they loose that chrome look it is a biiaatch to bring that back.
Tom your videos are great!
Fran's 4wd perfect donuts were GREAT!
On the demo we will also have at least 4 people on foot as spotters for safety. One with each Jeep that is doing the climbing and one on each out board side to keep watch for safety.
I could be a spotter if that would help
Count me in... Sounds like you have enough for the demo so I'll just parade.
You could buy one of the ones you use to pull a boat on the trail for about $50. :-\
I am also looking at possibly getting a winch and the $$$ is crazy. It's like an insurance policy. It'll sit there and do nothing for a long time and then one day you'll need it. When you get it all hooked up and go to pull your Jeep out you want it to work the first time. Going cheap might leave you stuck in the mud.
Or at least that is the way I am thinking about this.
