No Jeep Builds 2wd Wrangler! From what i've heard the trail rating for this place are on the higher side compared to Rausch your best bet would be seeing if anyone has a open right seat to ride with.Lol yeah well I have a 99 tj too I can take, but it's too late now, my work schedule was changed so now I work the weekend

Yeah it's nice, I accidentally put the gorilla nut adapter in the Jack storage hole in the trunk and didn't realize it had a big oval drain hole, I lost it in the highway lol. Had to order it... 6 bucks can't complain lol it was my fault

When are you looking to do the swap? Ill have a transfercase local in september.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
Once I get the axle and the tcase I would start, the other parts are fairly cheap new but yeah PM me with the tcase info and when you could have it plz I would rly apreciate that!

You guys don't realize how retarded high they still sell JKs, I got it on a deal just because of the fact that its 2wd.
To put it mildly... if I spend 6K on the swap, I still paid less than a 4x4 JKU. Now im absolutely sure I can do it for less than 3K, the question is how low can I go by getting items around here.

No personal experience in this, but these threads might be of some help if you haven't seen them yet. http://www.jkowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9488http://www.jkowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=61287If larger tires is in your plan, I'd suggest that you get the gearing done now. Find the front D30 or D44 with the gear you need and get the rear D44 regeared to match it.
Yeah I was looking around and Mopar has the dana 30 with 3.21 at $1,518 and the 4.10 at $1,420,
I might as well get the 4.10 and regear the rear. Still looking for a used axle but that one new for that price aint bad.Yeah I was reading that one http://www.jkowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=61287 but I have not found an axle for $150 like he did... he got a hell of a deal on that... Thats why i want to make sure and try to see if i can find one cheap.

Hello everyone.
Im starting to gather parts for this conversion that i want to do on this JKU. Thus far i already found a 241 t-case for 750 shipped and I've been patiently browsing for a Front Dana 30 and so far the best I have found is this http://moparonlineparts.com/repair-parts.php?cPath=25_28_270 (tho I dont know if that is the actual complete assembly including the drive axle)
What I dont know is since im running 33" tires already, would i have to regear both axles right away or can it be done later if I start doing heavier aplications?
As of now I can get the Dana 30 Assy already geared to match the 3.21 D44 that the JKU X comes stock with, For now i accept the 3.21 ratio since all I do right now is surf fishing, not much needed for that... But later on I would prolly gear up.
Also i would appreciate any input as far as the Swap goes. I do not need anyone telling me that I should sell it and buy a 4x4. I bought it for very cheap and I am very interested in doing the swap since I like doing stuff like this. For now what I know is:
new T-Case and adapter
new Tailshaft
new Axle
New driveshafts
not sure about suspension yet...
I thank anyone for any input in advance... It is always much appeciated! -
Quick question, I would prefer to take my jk but it's a 2wd (for now), are there any activities I could partake with it on this trip?
