i was up there last sat with matt and andy. They r open. They also raised the price to $53 and cant even scrape the entrance so your truck and trailer dont bottom out when u turn in.

1" of weld on two 1/4" tabs making a double shear bracket will be more then enough. Dont bother with the bolts.

is it cast or forged steel? Need to make sure. Generally u have to heat to 500* i think. Look up balistic fabs instructions for shaving a 14 bolt.
U could also get a fabricated cover from rough stuff and sell yours.
Basically u want to replace a 3/8"bolt in double shear with 3- 5/16 bolts in single shear. One site on the internet gives me the following
Grade 8 single shear approx
5/16 7k lbs
3/8 10k lbs
1/2 17.6k lbsSo assuming my sizing is correct 3 of the 5/16 should equal the double shear mount and the single shear mount commonly found on the steering link.
Also note that generally steering stabilizer hardware is grade 2. So upgrading to grade 8 stuff helps.

u r better off welding the bracket to the cover.

the 2 small ports on top of the tank come together into a "y" with rubber hose and then a single rubber hose goes to the frame rail. Then hard line goes all the way up, u can use 3/16 brake line to relace the hard line, then rubber hose to the canister.

john 1986 called and said they want their tech back :).

ther is NO return gas line on a 2000, 4.0l. The regulator is built inyo the sending unit. U may be looking at the vent to the charcol canister?
-
could be a lot if things. Sometimes it doesnt mater how many miles r on it, but how it was driven. Low oil or never changing it will kill a crank?
-
that shop is just being lazy. If u want to come north Bear alignment or Hollyoak towing both have racks and mechanics that can do it.

those bolts are right above the t-stat. I dont think i have ever seen them weep coolant, but its possible a repair was done to the treads and they entered the coolant jacket. I would put a heavy coat of pipe sealant on the threads when re-installing and pribably not worry about it.

of course i have some brackets. Not sure on the sliders. Let me know if u want to come up.

the header isnt a bad thing because the factory manifold is most likely cracked. Intake and tb spacer and exhaust just make noise, imho.
Clean it and spray a few cans of mopar blue or on it and call it a day.
Also be careful with electric fans. They dont pull near as much air as stock when daily driving. There are many different cfm rated fans that look the same . Generally the price reflects this.

my advice is to do nothing. Its basically an old tech forklift motor. It works great if u leave it alone. If u were gonna reman i would put a slight cam and mustang injectors in but thats because its fresh.

i do have a carter that ran a 4.2 when it was pulled for fuel injection. It looks to be in decent shape. $40 and i can take a chance on it. Ill try to get a pic today.
If u want to spend some $ i agree with slimer and get a weber

i sent u a text back, finally.

u can try North East on 13 just north of 12th st. Its been 8-10yrs since the last time i was there but they did a good job and were decent people to work with.

i have a set but they r not in as good of shape. May even be 5 of them. Free if u want them but u have to take the old tires that r on them.
