DEJA License Plate

  • Hey... just wondering...

I was driving home from work and saw a Ducks Unlimited license plate #50...
I know delaware lets associations register plates... Not sure the cost, or if we could afford it,
but I think it would be cool to have a DEJA license plate.. Maybe the o||o logo or something...

If we got it, would members suppport it and get one? I think they ding you for $30 a year or something...

  • Got to have a minimum of 100 to do it.

    You'll never get that many.

    We've talked about it before.

  • I just went to the DMV this morning, I got raped with no lube. To get my Jeep retitled and I changed the license plate plus taxes cost me $175.

A new license plate costs $15 plus a new Title costs $25.00 without a lien. Not sure if it would cost another $30 on top of that.

  • 140 I believe. But, not all of those are even in DE.

Do you have to live in DE for it to happen?? Like for me I live, work, and go to school in PA, but my Jeep is titled in DE.

You would not be the norm most who are out of state also have out of state plates.

  • yeah the DMV is horrible nowadays, i believe it's our idiot governor at fault but that's just a gut feeling ...fees have doubled since the first of the year and it's now $40 a year just to keep a damn car registered, but a license plate would be cool even though I'm not a member :bang:...yet

not to go too far off topic, but the DMV presently is a vast improvement over the cluster poke it was at the old wilmington location. I'm not saying it is fantastic now or that i like 100% increases in any fee but it sure was horrible before the change. Everytime I go there now I'm in and out pretty quickly.

I agree a license plate would be killer.

  • Do we have any of the "DELEWARE" Deja liscense plates left? A few years ago some were made up and I remember them mispelling the state.

    They weren't official plates though.

Heheh....not to get too offtopic but that reminds me of a pic I snapped while we were getting the new NCC public safety building ready.

Needless to say that it disappeared the next day...

I think Paul had them before there was a "store tub". I'm not sure if there are any left by now or the person that made the mistake corrected them and he threw the others out. I don't think there were many made up.

  • If there are any left, I'll take one; especially if it's mispelled.
