If you have tint on the door windows it's almost impossible to see out the mirrors either.
roll the window down ;D

There is no way you went through the DMV with tint on the windshield in DE.
He is talking about a banner above on the windshield, no place that I know will tint the whole front windshield.
You should be able to pass DMV banner style with the form from DMV.
No the whole windshield is done. I also have it done on my Benz too.
I am not from DE i am from jersey

or if its above the ASI line. Jeeps dont have one

jeeps do have one of those lines - the blacked-out section is only seen from the outside. still irrelevant since they won't allow that either. DMV made me pull a DeJA banner (1" tall) from that blacked-out section even though the banner itself was clearly not visible from within the vehicle.

He does have his whole windshield tinted. I asked him about how he gets away with it and he said he knows people or something. Hopefully he won't mind this, but just to clear things up here's a picture of his Rubi:

You can get your front windows/windshield tinted AFTER you go through inspection or if you buy a new car here in Jersey with the 4 year sticker. Then what say does DMV have in it unless you are unfortunate like me and hit a DMV checkpoint? The only way to get in trouble for it is to get pulled over by a cop and get a ticket.

...or....the pesky little issue that you might get in an accident and hurt/kill yourself, loved ones, or others on the road because your vision is impaired. but hey, the jeep will still look cool in the junkyard! ![]()

Haha! I never thought of that, but that might also be because I had 35% on the front which is the lowest I could go at the shop I went to. I think anything darker than that is a bit much.

In my opinion that's just plain stupid. Can't think of one reason why you'd need the front windshield tinted. He'll regret it someday. ![]()
I'd do it, but never that dark. It's nice to get rid of all that glare on a sunny day.
that's why someone invented sunglasses. sort of hard to take off your tinted windshield and throw it in the glovebox once the sun goes down. speaking of glare, tint will do nothing for glare - it will only darken the glare and everything else you are seeing around it. only polarization will limit the "glare" of the sun reflecting off of chrome and other windows. i have to ask, are serious with your line of thinking that tinting your windshield is a good idea or are you just jerking our chains? if you are serious then i'm glad you don't live around me!

maybe they just fold it down
NOT!! tinted windshield =DEATH for you or someone else

Too be blunt, that is an unbelievably stupid idea to have the windshield tinted. Polarized sunglasses accomplish the same task very well. Plus, get this, you can even wear them outside the Jeep, unlike your windshield. ![]()

This thread is so far off topic it is useless. It needs to be kill'd. ![]()
