Not being able to fix my jeep for some time I decided to tear into the
dash to get some minor work done while I wait. Big shock! When I
pulled the window down there was massive rust under the frame and
down the back of the dash. Luckily the tub doesn't appear any worse
for wear, but the dash frame is trashed.
I'm slowly breaking the bolts loose one at a time, but there is one
peice I cannot figure out - the black plastic horseshoe-shaped part
that surrounds the steering column. It looks like the two wire
connections are rivited to the plastic and there aren't any connectors
between them and the harness. Is there any trick to removing this
or does the entire harness need to come out?
