jan 20, easy trails, stockers... anyone interested?

    my brother used to take his stock toy 4runner to paragon's open monthly rides, running level 1. he misses wheeling and wants to try rc, so i'm tentatively planning taking him along on a trip on sunday the 20th.


    keep in mind, this will be a light, easy-going day. his 4runner is surprisingly capable; it even has a rear factory locker! but it is his dd, and he wants no trail damage.


    daddanelana is probably gonna come along, if he gets his ball-joints replaced. (he destroyed them on the trail-damage fest that was the last club run.) :o


    anyone else interested in a mild day on the trails?

    i mean walk-in-the-park (drive-in-the-park) stuff, greens and maybe some easy blues. :D

    i doubt anyone on the regular club run will want to do the easy-going stuff we're looking to do this time out. :-[
    besides, saturdays aren't good for him. :P

    I am planning to go up on the 26th. This will be my first trip out with the Jeep :driving: and I am also planning not to break anything. I will be doing green/blues and if there is something that is to challenging I have been told that you can drive around the obstacles. That is my plan.

    no can do for me, Jeep just got out of the shop, still waiting on the bumper. plus, my mom's birthday is that weekend. She'll kill me. :)

    if you take it nice and easy, you can have fun on a lot of the blue trails. I'd start off on F/G and then backtrack up the Pole Line to B and run Trail 2 over to D. Stop and take a peek at Crawlers Ridge off of D and then take E over to the West property. There are a few nice greens there you can play on.

    Are we talking about Paragon or Rausch Creek here?


    If my lift is done by then I may be up for an easy run to give it a good shakedown.

    to clarify, you are right that both paragon locations are gone. ;( my brother misses wheeling because it was so easy for him to just arrive on the day of their open rides. at RC, it's not quite that simple for stockers like him. hence i am planning this trip. :up:

    thanks jerry. this gives me a great starting outline for my first day as a guide! :D


    i don't know about trail 2, though. might be too many rocks for a 4runner with no lift. :-\
    on the west prop, i am thinking maybe J to 11, hit 14 and 19-A and 19-B, then 11 to H and run 10-B and 10-C.
    depending on time, i'll take him down to the South property and tool around the Lake Christy area.


    we'll stop and scope out some of the blues along the way, to see how he feels about trying them.


    this route should allow me and wayne to run some of the blues and blacks along the way, while keeping the toyota solidly on greens.

    Unfortunately, due to scheduling and part issues, my lift won't be done until the middle of February but I would be interested in another easy run on Feb 23rd or 24th. I will already be at A to Z to pick the rig up.

    More than you asked for but I am going to do a separate post on my build and why I chose what I did. :up:


    nice setup! :up: with a rig like that, you will nap through the green trails. at most, greens will feel like bumpy roads. ::)


    i seriously doubt i'll be in for an easy trip in february. gonna take it easy in january, then back to abuse and trail-damage in february! :suspicious:
