Haha, dude for $50 your going to sit in that hole for a long time. Did you want one that worked or were you planning rebuilding it?
I have a 10,000lbs winch that i'll sell you for $300 its never been out of the box.

You could buy one of the ones you use to pull a boat on the trail for about $50. :-\
I am also looking at possibly getting a winch and the $$$ is crazy. It's like an insurance policy. It'll sit there and do nothing for a long time and then one day you'll need it. When you get it all hooked up and go to pull your Jeep out you want it to work the first time. Going cheap might leave you stuck in the mud.
Or at least that is the way I am thinking about this.

You could use a come along as cheep ins but the best thing is to all wheel with someone.
