Where Can I Go Wheeling In Delaware ?

  • The subject of places to go wheeling in Delaware comes up frequently so this will serve as a FAQ regarding this.

Unfortunately, aside from the beach there really are not any public places in DE where it is legal to go offroad.

And to drive on the beach legally, you must have a valid surf-fishing permit and be actively engaged in fishing.

The subject of the C&D Canal area comes up frequently. Truth is, if you leave the maintained roads at the canal you are trespassing and breaking the law.

The same applies to all other lands private and public, unless you have the owner's permission to be there.

DeJA as a club tries to promote responsible off-roading and to that end does not encourage, support, or condone illegal wheeling.

Nor do we wish to have tales regarding it posted here.

DeJA does organize and promote legal off-roading at places like Rausch Creek and GWNF.

Details regarding rides to these places can be found in our [b]Trail Rides & Gatherings Forum.http://www.delawareja.com/forum/index.php?board=6.0
