so im all lined up to grab some sweet ORI's and this bullshit happens. from what i can tell its a combination of issues id rather not discuss

normally i think in all the truss kits ive seen say not to. ive heard its not good to but it is now lol. if it fails this time its on me 
That's because people insist on welding to all cast is somehow against a 'law' or something. In reality there is nothing bad about welding cast steel and given the design of the truss with its 'speed holes' not welding it is only asking for trouble.

Mine is made of half inch steel and plated with 3/8" and I still welded to the housing.
