New FC Concept...

  • real pics here

Suh-weet...although IMHO based on Jeeps propensity to come up with uber-cool concepts that they never produce I won't hold my breath for it to actually see the light of day. The red nukizer in the back's pretty cool although I prefer the original color scheme.

EDIT: funny thing is that if you look closely it's a JK 'cab' with a nose just past the firewall.

  • I just posted this on facebook off of jalopnik, and I have the dark gray nukizer as my desktop background on my work computer ;)

I think the Nukizer has the best chance at making it to market and maybe even the face of the new wagoneer that will be coming to replace the seven seat segment the commander held.

  • When Jeep made the FC150 I believe they had to add weight to the back end to keep it down while braking hard. Maybe that's why they moved the axle back on this one.

I'd buy one. Not sure if it would pass the crash test regulations though.

You can buy the portals...only $22.5K for the pair.

    Pro-Rock center sections. :8)

The upper control arms and brackets should be beefed up a little. Portals put more stress on them so the stockers may not cut it. But then again, it's only a concept vehicle so it's form over function.

    Pretty cool though.

  • merged with the other thread. nice pics of the original FCs in your link

  • I remember a TV show about a state police unit back in the 50s. I think they had 50mph limits on the highway. The postwar era was big for our highway infrastructure after people had seen the Autobahns in the war.

  • Building the highways was part of the Public Works program.

I have a book about the building of Dupont Highway (Rt 13). Pretty interesting to see the artist renditions of what was planned as well as photos of the workers hand troweling the concrete and sleeping in camps in the woods of slower DE.
