Really miss not having this function on either of my current lens.
Wondering what everyone's thoughts are on the best all around focal length for a macro lens.
Looking for fixed focal length rather than a zoom.

Do you currently have a prime lens to put to use? You can always pick up some extension tubes for super cheap and use it to do some macro work.

Seems like logical choices would be something between 50-105mm.
50-70mm will probably suit be better.
After doing a little research, looks like bigger is better for small creature type shots as the 40-50mm lenses will put you just an inch or 2 away from the subject.
Thinking maybe 85 or 105mm now.
I think I've decided to go with 105mm.
The one I'm thinking is an FX lens so if I have this right it should yield about 160mm on my DX body.
The crop factor is 1.6? That is what it is on my Canon.
