Stupid Air Bag Sensor

I just got off the phone with Jeep Services 1-877-426-5337 and they stated there is a recall for all jeeps from 2007-2012 BUT only for right hand drive models. So I asked the tech to persue it a bit more because of all the known issues with the Merca' models and it seems weird because it's basically all the same parts used in both hand drives. So all in all after holding for 5 minutes she did an override and set me up with a case number, told me to bring it to the dealership to get them to run there scanner and dignosis the issue, call them back with my case number and they will review my issue if they will pay for the repair.
Overall it was an easy call.

Update:
So I spent the $119 today at the dealership and they confirmed it is a bad clockspring. The want $540 parts and labor to replace it but since I'm dealing with Jeep Services to see if they'll pay for the repair I called them and my claim has been updated and escalated to see if I can get "payment assistance" and I should wait 1-2 days for a call back. I picked up my jeep and am waiting for my call back but in the meantime will look for the clockspring so I can make the repair myself if Jeep Services doesn't come through. BTW, the dealer charges $295 for just the part. So far I think I've found it for $$188 off Amazon.

You could do whats described above or I can do the job for you at the discounted rate of $500 and I have a 2 minute or 2 mile no questions asked warranty.

I'll attempt the job myself if they dont pay but you're more then welcome to come watch and prevent me from using my BFH at any point.

I just got a call from Jeep services and they are picking up the bill for the clockspring repair. Ill be dropping it off at the dealership on tuesday.

No, but at this point it's still cheaper to pay $100 more to have them fix it.
