** 2014 Delaware Mud Run Signup **

  • Our team will be meeting at 8am a few minutes from the Mud Run, dropping kids and attempting to ride in together, condense coolers if necessary - hopefully the school bus is out of the shop and we can fit everything in it.

Quick question - are you allowed to take a waterproof camera through the course?

Attempting to make a list of what to bring . . .

EZ-Up, Table, Chairs, Potty & Tent
Rolls, Bacon, Cheese, Marinated Breasts - I'm getting tired of eating burgers :)
Drinks - Beer, Gatorade, Vodka, H2O

  • But it may get mud on it. JMess took his Go Pro on it last year to shoot video but I think a mud glob blocked the lens.

  • The clear plastic covers are acrylic (I think). Not sure how the rain-x would take to it but its worth a try in a small hidden area to see it it gets etched or marred.

  • Shirts are almost done and looking good. Lisa found a sale on shirts this year so they are $10 as opposed to $12 last year in case anyone that already bought one was wondering.

Looking forward to this as always. It's one of my favorite events of the year. :)

  • Last year there was a rope swing obstacle where you had to plunge into the muddy water. Water was pretty deep. I couldn't touch.

Ugh - how did I let myself get talked into this again??????
I'll think I'll forego the booze and just take some xanax or maybe ativan.

If someone wants to give me some more info on the obstacles so I know a little bit more of what I've got myself into I'd greatly appreciate it! I thought it was just a muddy mess with some water holes, some climby hills etc.

  • You can by-pass the obstacles. Most of them anyway. There are a few hill climbs where you pull yourself up with a rope to keep your footing, a wooden wall that is basically like climbing a ladder, ice plunge, water slide, fireie (sp?) pit of dispair, and some tubes to climb through.

Dont worry yourself, it really isn't all that bad. Plus everyone in the "run" is friendly and are quick to assist people over anything. Just get drunk and get dirty

I can't say I remember everything about that day but I thought that water was like waist deep?

Here's a video from 2012, you'll have to skip the commercials and stuff. The only thing they added last year was a water slide.

  • Lisa is picking up packets today or tomorrow. Let me know if you want her to grab yours. Most of you were tagged in a message to Lisa on FB. Post there instead of here so she sees it as she doesn't check this site.

  • Who is bringing what as far as food/grill/drinks? Usually we do breakfast and lunch. I'll bring the traditional vodka/red bull and donuts or something towards breakfast.

We are bring a few of those breakfast in a bag . The kind you add you egg to .
Of course Ill have the coffee pot there and some type of bloody mary mix and bottle water.
For lunch I think we are just doing some kind of sausage , not sure yet
I plan on bringing my camp grill and burner for cooking.

There will be jungle juice too .
