One of my sway bar links is permanently disconnected. Wondering if it makes sense to install disconnects or go the cheaper route of non-disconnect replacement. The Jeep is mostly a road machine, but if I'm going to be replacing any way.....
It does have a spacer lift so there are more options in the disconnect style.
Disconnects let the suspension work freely when offroad. Keeps you more stable going over rocks and softens the ride a bit as well... You can wheel with them connected but it won't perform as well. That's assuming you want to go on the rocky trails, if you're just doing the beach and forest roads then I guess it wouldn't matter.

If it's rocky or uneven terrain, there is a chance you will break another anti-sway bar link again. I've seen it a few times at Rausch Creek on Jeeps that weren't disconnected.
I think it's worth looking for a used set somewhere or if you go with new, JKS always had good ones for the TJ's.
