questions for CJ owners

Why not use an external Trans cooler ?

Not near mine so I can't measure right now but I did find this on another forum:

I can measure my YJ radiator when I get home. My YJ is an auto so it has the intercooler for the trans built in.

It not as much the dimensions of the rad , but the locations of the inlet and outlet ports . The lower port can easily run into clearance issues with engine accessories once the hose is attached.

I was in the process of making a 3D interactive layout but I ran out of time....

Yes. Get a heat sink trans cooler or a stand alone unit that is self contained with its own fan assembly.
