What size shocks?

  • my rear shocks are shot... Not sure what size I need to replace them.
The shocks say Doetsch Tech with 2 numbers on it. QO7472 And DT3265 but I can't find it on the web...

It's been 6 years, probably discontinued. I have an 06 TJ with a 3.5" lift. A 2" body lift too though I don't think that matters. Any suggestion on a replacement for the rear? Size? Brand?

  • I found this but the 3165 isn't listed. I think it'll get you close enough on extend/compress specs that you'll know what to look for in a replacement.

    Their website is here

Maybe grab numbers from the first link and match them up here for a Bilstein shock.

The OME shocks ride great but at 3.5" of lift you might be right in between their two offered lengths. My only experience is with the LT ones but they may be to long. Maybe you can find those specs and compare to your DT shocks.

3165 isn't listed but the 3265 he has now is. 24.5" extended and 14.5" compressed.

I was always happy with OME shocks when I ran them and the Jeep was street driven. I think they have one in a length that will work. I've been happy with the Bilsteins on my truck but different application.

Found this: OME N66L shocks are 15.5"-25.5", N67L are 14.5"-24.5".
