This area of the country has been using color codes for difficulty. Interpretation varies, but here's my take on it..

Green: any stock Wrangler can do these, but experience or direction will make the ride smoother for a new driver. May have optional sections of higher difficulty, but there will be bypasses for easier travel.

Blue: Bigger tires (31"+) /more ground clearance needed, skid plates important although careful spotting will reduce the risk of damage. A stock 2-door Rubicon can do these with no problems, 4-doors may need more careful spotting.

Black: More ground clearance and skid plates mandatory, recommended minimum tire size 33" (35" for 4-doors). Lockers recommended.

Red: 35" tires minimum. Expect damage. Expect to get stuck and need a pull or winch. Lockers mandatory.

When we had the 101 event last month, we did Green trails with optional Blue sections and finished up the day with a Black hill climb, although the section we hit was more of a Blue than a Black. We were only able to get through the hill climb because we spotted (gave directions) to everybody.

Sign up for the Green/Blue group, Shorebird is an excellent guide and you'll learn quite a bit from following him.

I won't put my name in for which level group at this point.

I would say from the description you gave I would like to try the blue/black group

From Stafford showing me a "black" trail on the March ride and saying he has broken trying to do it twice I'm not sure.

I'm also trying to talk my girl friend into coming and I showed her the video from the March ride of my jeep on 3 wheels and she wants no part of four wheeling.
Funny thing is she used to ride on the back of my motorcycle and likes riding two up on an atv but the jeep scares her.

That trail was Devil's Den and I would say it's on the upper edge of black and there are some lines that are very red on it. You'd be fine on a "normal" black trail though there is a risk of body/other damage.
