Transmission Shop?

  • I cracked my TH-350 at Rausch over the weekend. So need to who in this this area ( DE,PA,MD ) is good transmission shop? The guy who rebuild this trans for 16 years ago has since passed away. I've used Deltrans many years ago with no problems, but I'm not sure if their the same since the owner passed.
    Anyway any recommendations?
Also anyone have a a spare 4x4 TH-350 sitting around?

  • Do it yourself. I built the 4R100 in my super duty and I also rebuilt a 4T65-E in a Chevy mini van. Buy the Automatic Transmission Service Group book from Amazon for that trans and then pick out a rebuild kit. Find places offering "built" transmissions and look what they are putting in them. Then buy parts. You need a large clean bench to work on and a parts washer or a lot of brake clean. I did the one in my truck a year ago as my first one and have been very happy with it. I used Red Alto Clutches, Kolene Steels, Transgo Hugger shift kit, and a sonex valve.
