**DEJA Free Member Post-Holiday Appreciation Party Sat Jan 20 2018**

  • Where: Slate Cafe http://slatecafede.com/ 5838 Dupont Pkwy, Smyrna, DE 19977

When: Saturday January 20. The room and bar will open at 630pm, food service will start at 700.

How much: Free for 2018 members so get your membership in! We'll be feeding everyone buffet style. Cost for non-members is $23/pp. Kids are $10/each. Plus eventbrite fees because manually tracking attendance via signups here is a nightmare. There will be a cash bar. Payment for non-members will need to be completed by 1/15 with a final head count. If you are a member, sign up and do not show you will be responsible to cover your $23 meal cost (same as non-member). If you do not pay for your guests by 1/15 we will not be able to do anything to accommodate them. Sorry for taking a hard line on that but it has to be.

Registration/payment: We've moved to eventbrite this year. 2018 members please go in and select the free option to register and pay for any additional guests/children. Please post up in this thread as you register to help keep the thread active/bumped but the only official registration is via eventbrite.

What else: We took your advice from last year to heart and believe we've really stepped up the food quality/venue. We're hitting up tons of vendors for giveaways and will have a good pile of stuff. DEJA likely won't be spending anything on giveaways this year. Anyone who has vendor contacts and can ask for swag or discounts in exchange for a little free advertising please let me know. If you're willing to call/email/fb spam vendors for free stuff let me know too.

    Menu:
Prime Rib (real prime rib this time!! :))
    Pasta with Chicken and Vegetables
    Mac N Cheese
    Mashed Potatoes
    Broccoli
    Caesar and Garden Salads
    Assorted Desserts
    Kids Menu Chicken Tenders

  • The Eventbrite registration was cake! Helps if you already have a login/pw for EB too. I'll see closer towards the event date whether Dawn and the kids are coming with me or not and register them if need be.

Your life is made up of 2 dates and a dash... make the most of the dash!

I may be slowest and the stupidest

  • For giveaways so far we have the winch and other stuff from Quadratec, 2x $100 gift cards from Spiderwebshade and we just got 2 big boxes from Currie with hoodies, socks, koozies, tire deflators and some other swag. More stuff incoming from Bubba Rope, Bestop, Dave's Offroad and probably Warn.

Re-iterating my earlier comment...I could use a hand with schmoozing and asking for all this stuff so we'll give an extra ticket to anyone who gets a donation from a vendor. It doesn't have to be Jeep parts specifically, anything outdoorsy or realistically if it's free and cool we'll take it lol.
