Does anyone know if there was ever a 1/2 door combo that works with a hard top? I just picked up a set of 1/2 doors and with the soft uppers I had, the back of it will not fit into the molded area of the hardtop. I had the same issue with my full soft doors. The profiles do not match like the full hard doors do. I'm at a loss here...
Half door/soft upper w/ hardtop

Pretty sure you can you certain TJ soft uppers but you have to cut off one of the mounting pins if and relocate it. There are also hard uppers that work, they are pricey though(new anyway).

Hard tops were only sold with full doors. It's not a huge deal for TJs, but obviously the window profile is different for YJs. You can get by with using the upper doors from a Supertop. https://www.quadratec.com/products/11045_XX_PG.htmhttps://www.quadratec.com/products/11034_1XX_PG.htm But, the seal will never be like a hard door. Back in the day, you could get "hard uppers", fiberglass uppers with sliding windows, but those have been out of production for a while now. Bestop sold the plans though, not sure if they're in the aftermarket.

Thanks for the info, brother! I figured after this try that I was fighting an uphill battle. I like the hardtop but I like the half doors too. Guess I can't have both. Now to decide if I like the 1/2 doors or hardtop more.

Thanks for the link! I'll have to keep an eye out for a set of TJ uppers.

Easier one, Use the soft uppers from Best Top , the super top version. They work perfect with a hard top.

The full soft doors I have are Bestop and they wouldn't fit correctly... although I haven't tried those uppers with the half doors. I'll check that when I get home from work today. Thanks.

I have a set you can try on for size to be sure.

I don't recall my Bestop uppers (sliding windows) working with my hardtop? I think they hung out at the top corner too.

Did you get them from me? I can't remember who bought my slider uppers when I took mine off the road.

The fiberglass hard uppers were specifically for hard tops, not the Supertop, so they would work if you can find them. The soft upper sliders are the ones that would "work".
Fwiw, it looks like somebody is making the hard uppers again: https://www.bulldawgmfg.com/sh…r_Doors_YJ_87_95-2-1.html

Uhhhhhhhhhh.... for $750/set, I'll be more than happy to rock full doors or my soft top! For $750 they should be selling the whole freaking doors, not just the uppers!!
