We have site 220 booked for the Pete and the Bus. Let's meet as a group here in the AM.
I'd like to ride with you guys on Saturday if anyone is going to be doing blues. I've done Fern Ridge and Barney Rubble among other blues at AOAA, so I'm comfortable on that level. I don't mind greens, and I might be tempted by a black that doesn't look black to me, as long as I can drive it home.
As you guys are aware, AOAA's gate time is 5:30pm. On the 29th, Off-Road Consulting is hosting a monthly green guided ride from 8:30am to 3:30pm. After which, they are hosting a second event from 4pm to 7pm. Sunset is 4:39 in Shamokin. I'm going to do that night ride even if it's short, because I'll be up there anyway. I've been wanting an opportunity for a night ride at there or Rausch.
Side note: How interested are people with night rides in general? I spoke with Kyle from ORC about it once or twice and asked for night rides. I'm not quoting him, but if I remember correctly they can be a mixed bag for ORC. It's not uncommon for people to register and back out, insurance costs are a factor, etc.
I got the impression that they would have night rides more often, and perhaps further into the night, if they turned out to be popular.
On second thought, I'm going to pass on this event and catch you guys for the next one. I'd have to muster with ORC for the night ride around 3 to 3:30pm. I'd rather make my first trip out with you guys the focus of my entire day when I do go, and not have any rushing involved. I'm just going to keep it simple and do the ORC events that day. I am definitely looking forward to wheeling with you guys though.
The time is almost here, enjoy the turkey guys! See you Saturday. Remember meet at camp site 220 in the am. I'll be making breakfast if anyone's interested.
