The 4.0HO i pulled out of the 91 Mj donor I had last year
is getting in my way. 200k, was running when pulled, but
has sat in the yard all winter. I doubt its good as is, but
probably has some salvageable parts for the post-renixer.

Free is the best i can do.

Located near Zoar and Hollyville Roads in Georgetown.
If interested, text 302.841.2177, i have a lift to help load.

its a 1/4 ton truck that can tow up to 7k with the v6 gasser and 6spd. How much more can u ask of it. Its a fair amount mord then a mj, jk or jl and u get all the coolness of a soft top jeep.

No its not. Its a truck that can tow up to 3k with the V6 and 6spd.
for the 7k package you HAVE to get the V6/Auto (no word yet on the
diesel limits) but not with the Rubicon or Overland package. So
basically, if you want to tow more than my Mj can with it, youre
going to be forced to buy the most basic version at Rubicon prices.

How much more can I ask? Easy, if Jeep wants me to trade in my
Ram, itll need to be a 6spd Diesel that can tow AT LEAST 8000#
    <and> not cost $100,000ish...

This thing may be more practical than the JKU its based off of, but
not by very much. I can buy a good used Power Wagon now with
10k# / 4x / V8 / Auto (with Winch and other goodies) for less than
$25k - thats the benchmark Jeep needs to aim for in my book...

I cant have a jeep without a manual, and i cant have a new truck
unless it can tow. Since this cant properly tow with the Manual
(and wont come with a manual diesel) i gotta file it away under
the "Power Wagon 6.4L/Challenger GT/Other cars that Dodge
came so close to getting right but COMPLETELY failed at
    delivery" folder...

Im trying really... really hard to like this truck, but the more I hear
about all the things it wont have or cant do, the more i want to
    keep my Mjs...

On my 88 Mj 4.0L - I am having a weird issue with the throttle body.
When running, if i open it by hand under the hood and let it go, the
valve just snaps back to normal idle position (about 500rpm-ish.) But
when i depress the accelerator pedal from inside the cab, the throttle
will not return to idle - it stays a few mms from bottom and causes
the motor to idle as high as 4000rpms. I cannot get it to do it from
under the hood, and i cannot get it to NOT do it from the seat.

Ive replaced both the TPS and Accelerator Cable, saturated the
X-Over in WD40, and Gunked the inside of the TB to a mirror
finish... no changes, even small ones.

My only guess is that either the valve is jammed up internally on the
hinges, or that the spring that pulls the valve shut just isnt up to the
task anymore. My question: Where should I go from here?

Yeah, except everyone thinks $10k is too much to
pay for a V8 Challenger so it becomes a moot point
on saturday. The seller gave me until then to come
up with the last $13k needed, and at $9500 i simply
cant cover the difference in the time needed... ergo,
looks like im keeping the challenger for at least two
more years now... im very depressed about it...

i guess they are cool, huge mopar fan but they just arent that fast for what it is

Huh? What part of 0-60mph in 4.9s, 13.1 quarter mile,
or 154mph top speed doesnt meet your expectations
of "fast" in a half-ton pickup??

i plan on headed up to the All Breeds Jeep
Show on Saturday morning. I havent picked
a time yet but i do want to make a day of it.
As of right now im planning on the 404-50-
87 Route unless others are headed out of
New Castle. Let me know if anyone else
    want to head up together.

Neither, unexpected issues showed up in both the
Ram and Challenger that were not going to be cheaply
rectified. I did the math and figured it would be cheaper
in the long run to just wait for a regular priced truck at
a dealer and pay full price + trade than to take a loss on
the challenger AND pay repairs on the cheap ram.

Not an easy decision, but i think its the safe one for today.

If this is the Allbreeds show in York, then yes, but if its
the one outside of Pittsburg or Bloomsburg, then no.
Im headed up Saturday morning, but id like to travel
with someone seeing how sick Gracie is at the moment.

i need to move a donor around my yard so i need
A set of dirt cheap wheels and air-holder tires, the
smaller the better (29s, 30s.) Mixed matched, bald
whatever, but they must hold air. Cash in hand,
might have something to trade too. Closer to gtown
    Sussex the better!

I understand diffs, just have zero experience with them.

I have a factory Mj D44 id like to get Aaron to rebuild
for me someday (no really,) but the ?spider gears and
the main gear are heavily rusted. I had planned on
buying a new ratio anyway, but for the rest of the carrier
i dont know how i should prepare.

Are all D44 components the same? When i go to order
new components, will JK D44 internals parts work on
an 88 D44, or do i need year/model specific parts?
