u answered your own question. The fog lights turn on/off with the toggle under the hvac center and there is nothing on the turn signal salk. They r powered off the fuse box behind the glovebox (i think).

My section below the HVAC block is four fake switches. But my question remains, where does the wiring I found near the front bumper end up in the cab?

I’m looking to add fog lights to an ‘05 TJ X. I found the pre wiring termination near the front bumper. My stalk does not include the fog light switch.

My question is; Where does the fog light wiring terminate? I’m hoping to get a factory like switch and install below the HVAC controls. Also, finding original Jeep Fogs is proving difficult.

First of all, the TJ’s issues have been resolved. North East Auto Body on the east side in Wilmington handled the job. Jeep drives smoothly now so I can finally enjoy it.

To make a short story long, the replacement front housing assembly had an odd size yoke(?) that caused play with the front driveshaft. NE Auto diagnosed and repaired it.

I realize I may be mischaracterizing individual Jeep parts because of ignorance. What I originally referred to as a differential is called something else entirely.

Anyway, this chapter is closed successfully.

Starts around 48 mph in the seat. At 55 or so, it moves to the steering wheel. At 65+ mph it gets worse but it’s not the death wobble. The vibration is high pitched.

Tomorrow, I’m heading to another shop to get their take. I’m afraid my usual shop exhausted their best effort.

I’m located in Wilmington. I have an ‘05 TJ that’s been in and out of a shop to address a vibration 48-60 mph. Both driveshafts have been replaced, wheels balanced but my shop is stumped. Front and rear brakes replaced.

I need recommendations for other shops to try. I don’t do the work myself.

    Thanx

New here. First Jeep. I may have unintentionally bought more than I could chew. ‘05 X 4.0 6, 6 speed with 53,xxx miles. I assumed too much, undercarriage was undercoated pretty extensively. Should have been a flag. I’m 71 so I didn’t crawl underneath (not that I would have known what to look for), the seller (on facebook marketplace) assured me the frame was already done by one of the best Jeep guys around (Pompton Lakes, NJ).

Made the purchase and drove it back to Wilmington. This was Saturday, on Monday, I took it to DMV. Got through the first part, lights, horn etc. OK, but when I pulled up to do the braking test; something expensive broke. When I pulled away it had a bad vibration right front, I had it towed to a shop in Wilmington.

Preliminary diagnosis was the front axle housing snapped due to rust. The rear axle housing didn’t look very serviceable either. Undercarriage pretty much covered in undercoating. They found a front and rear housing(s) in a yard in Philly. Right now the plan is to have those shipped and swap them out.

Fingers are crossed not too much else will be involved but it’s going to hurt no matter what.

I’ll try and update the progress here when I can. I’m no mechanic so DIY is off the table.
