Nice job pulling in the donations! We def appreciate your help. Other donations en route from Clayton Off-road, spiderwebshade, Bestop and hopefully Quadratec.
For anyone who has attended before, #1 we typically have +-75 people here so while you don't see a lot of action in this thread it will be a good party. #2 all of the vendor donations are given away to members #3 stop reading and sign up!

tl;dr if we don't abuse someone's repeater it will be fine

Reminder that the cutoff for member party sign up is 2 weeks from today. 1/20. Unfortunately there can be zero exceptions to sign up later unless someone else backs out. Clicking 'going' on the fb event is not signing up, you have to register via eventbrite.

Pickup in Newark, installs in any vehicle. Keep your butt warm this winter. New in box, never opened. Decided my seats need to be replaced.

I started typing a response the other day and then my ADD kicked in halfway through.
A bunch of us bought the Baofeng's before Moab a couple years ago and I think they are vastly superior to CB's. They're cheap (<$25), have significantly superior range which can be extended if there are repeaters, simple to operate, don't require hard wiring, you can walk down the trail out of your Jeep with them, there's no tuning required so you don't have the one guy on the trail who sounds like the teacher in Peanuts, rechargeable batteries which last a couple days or more per charge, they can operate on the FRS/GMRS frequencies of the little family radios. You do kinda sorta-ish need a license to use it but I'll worry about that when I see an FCC truck in the Rausch parking lot. Everyone out west uses them. I've definitely been trying to peer pressure people into getting them for all of the reasons above and wouldn't be mad if we started getting away from CB's.

the one you listed is an 8W which is better but this one should get the job done too: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008…_2230642011_t4_B00SY0II2A

Bottom line:
Do you 2020 membership here: delawareja.com/join-deja/
Register for the party here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/d…party-tickets-83732499159Where: Schaefer's Canal House. Note that this is in the banquet hall, it's the building right next to the main Schaefer's building.
When: Saturday January 25, 2020. The room and bar will open at 630pm, food service will start at 700. Bar closes at 930pm but conveniently there is a bar open right next door in the main building.
How much: Free for 2020 members so get your membership in! We'll be feeding everyone buffet style. Cost for non-members is $27/pp. Kids are $12/each. Plus eventbrite fees because manually tracking attendance via signups here is a nightmare. There will be a cash bar. Payment for non-members will need to be completed by 1/20 with a final head count.
If you are a member, sign up and do not show you will be responsible to cover your $27 meal cost (same as non-member). If you do not pay for your guests by 1/20 we will not be able to do anything to accommodate them. Sorry for taking a hard line on that but it has to be else the club risks a significant financial loss due to signups and no shows.Not a member yet? Sign up below, 2019 members try to get it done before 12/31 to get the discounted rate:

For the 23rd I believe we have:

@altierior
@DBollllllloYJ
@meeper
@daddanelena
@willf650Did I miss anyone? Plan is to stick mostly to blacks.

I assume we are still on for the 23rd?
I plan on picking up my car trailer Thursday evening if that is the case.I now have the 30th available too. If there is an easy ride going on the 30th I will join it to break in my dog to riding on trails.
I think @daddanelena was talking about sticking to blues on the 30th.

I moved the Adopt A Beach sign today. It used to be by where we all hang out past the dune but when it washed away 3 or 4 years ago DNREC put it all the way at the end right before the walk on beach. I asked them the other day if we could move it and they said yes. We put the pole in a 5 gallon bucket and filled it with a bag of concrete and dropped it in a hole so hopefully that acts as a good anchor so it doesn't wash away again.

It's been a long time, good to hear from you! If your on fb come join the group there: https://www.facebook.com/groups/delawarejeep/

I'm free the 23rd and 30th. I guess I assumed the ride was the Saturday following Thanksgivingikes it's been for the past several years.
Not sure why it ended up on the 23rd this year but I'm 110% out for the 30th. If we want to move the official ride to the 30th and if me @willf650 and whoever else can do the 23rd that's fine.

I was planning on going 11/23 but can't do the 30th
