The ARB/Dometic fridges are also back heavy because that's where the compressor is so be mindful of the front tipping down when pulled out. I use the Dometic straps to strap mine to the slide and then I have the slide base ratchet strapped into the floor hooks. It's tight if you try to slide it around but the back still pops up an inch or so when fully extended.

How are you going to power it? Hint: join the dark solar side with us

If I do run power to it, it would be straight from the battery and connect with one of these. I don't like the standard 12v cigarette plugs. Your solar idea is the best one, but I have to make the commitment and that can be a challenge for me.

The slides are rated at either 130 or 150 lbs. I have to recheck the specs. I would only buy a larger fridge for another cross country trip. I usually prefer a roto cooler because I like simple stuff and on most of my trips I only go 2 nights / 3 days before I need gas (and ice) anyway. I do already have a small Engel 15L fridge that is very handy but doesn't hold alot.

Whatevah, glad you were able to sell off the trailer but also sad to see it go.
I did manage to do a couple projects on the jeep.
    Rockers Before:

Enhanced Rubi Rails: making it easier to reach things on the roof and helps 'vertically challenged' folks.

    Rear Cooler Slide: (no fridge...yet)

I'm not super happy with the slide but it doesn't take up much space so I may run it for a bit and reevaluate. It may be a waste of time for my purposes. These are hard core mods I know! Stay safe everyone

even though I still have to go to work, you piqued my interest in welding up one of those fire rings! Looks like a good project. Other than that, the jeep needs a power wash and fresh fluid film application for when the beach opens back up in....67 days. Ouch!

So over the weekend I found these on the beach in Dewey:

Fired .50 cal bullets & a few .30 cal (projectiles actually). Actually found a bunch on the beach, all concentrated in about a 5 sq yard area.

They look incredible with the rifling marks still clearly visible on most of them.
We've had some pretty serious beach erosion so maybe they got uncovered from WW2?
    When's the last time Dewey got lit up?...by .50 cal's I mean?

And then required beach poser shot(s) & warm up/debrief.

just for a frame of reference.
I run the last configuration from the list above (A JK on 33's with 3.73 gearing will turn 2207 RPM's at 70 MPH)
and find it to be a great overall combo. I've put a lot of miles on it including pulling trailers / boats and loaded with bunches of gear (surfing, hunting, fishing) and people and it's been fine. I don't think that I would like 3.73 & 35's because it would be sluggish to me. 3.21 & 35's would be unbearable. Again, just an opinion because I'm sure that people do it every day w/o issue.

I agree with Stafford. While I'm not sure about the details surrounding this incident, I know that when I was in Moab in 2017, I was amazed at the lack of commonsense some of the drivers seemed to exhibit. Whether it be uselessly and repeatedly trying obstacles or just trying to make their way down a trail way too fast. Also, you could almost base your judgment on the state they were from. Yeah I know that sounds pretty bad coming from a DE guy who drove all the way to Moab (although I think it shows commitment) but I promise you my main concern was my family's safety and taking care of the rig so I would have ride home. This guy in the incident seems to be from Kansas. lotsa rocks & hills in Kansas....
