This sounds fun but it’s a kid weekend for me and mine wouldn’t enjoy it.

Welcome. The club definitely has a strong presence on the beach in the summer. My tow rig does the beach driving right now. We host a couple gatherings on the sand. Hope to see you there.

I think those are the ones I have. Mine fit fine after a simple modification to the metal cone for the light aim adjuster. This had to be done so the back of the LED housing would fit. You don't really need it with the LED housing being metal, but you do need its outer ring to aim your head lights. Easy enough with a cut off wheel. If you want to get all fancy a band saw would be better I guess.
Also I found the plug difficult to push into the CJ wiring plug, bet it went in.The plug on my lights is not standard. I will be adding the appropriate plug at some point. I don’t currently have any mounting hardware, just an empty commando grille shell.

My commando grill is without headlight buckets. Before I try to source them, can anyone confirm that a set of JW speaker lights actually fit in them or is there a conversion mounting kit that makes them fit while maintaining adjustability? I thought I have seen a conversion kit previously but am striking out finding it now.
Thanks!

These things always take way longer than planned.
They are also always more expensive than planned.

Going to revive this thread in hopes that I get myself in gear and start putting it together.
Life got in the way of this project for a while but, like me, it's getting a fresh start. I have added a few more parts to the pile and moved into a new house and a new shop!
I took advantage of Motobilt's black friday sale and picked up front and rear back half kits for stretching a YJ. I have decided to use my current YJ frame as the base for this build. I grabbed another silverado for the drivetrain and have another set of coilovers now to round out most of the suspension. I have some house projects to attend to but I am finally making time to get this started. I just put up some pallet rack this weekend as well and started organizing parts.
I feel like we may need to resurrect the idea of having a wrenching party again.
-
I will have to look to see if I still have a spare. I am planning to part my YJ out early next year when I get back to my commando build and I will have one for sale then.

How far do they stick out?

Welcome!

I'm not sure what that is but I probably would keep it over 50 mph.

Listed on Facebook for $450 but $400 for a DEJA member.

Mine didn't get anything for Christmas but I have made a new years resolution to spend a little more time on it this year. We will be in one house full time in March so that will mean the house projects are complete and I can work in the shop some again.

I'll check. I don't remember if I threw it out or not.
