I sat in my seat in the living room thinking about how much fun I used to have when I still had my Jeep. That's OK though... I know that one day in the future I'll be able to drive it again!

That looks like an interesting looking project for somebody around here...

Hey there bully73! I'm glad that you found DEJA... I, for one, hope that that we all on here can provide you with whatever it is that you need for your Jeeps, whether it be advice or how-to info, down to just plain silly Jeep humor.
Glad to have another Jeeper around!

Well, hello Maria! I'm glad that you found all of us here on DEJA, I'm hoping that this club can help you out with whatever you may need as far as your Jeep is concerned... it's helped out a lot of people here already, even if that's just in the capacity of giving them a place to go online with other Delaware-area Jeepers... to talk about just about anything.
I'm also in Newark... right where the line is at where it changes into Bear.
I'm glad you found our little corner of the Web.

Hi Steve. My name is Dawn.Well, hello there Dawn! I really hope that you find DEJA useful!

Nice Jeep, BeachGirl!
May I ask your name? I'm Steve Smith, one of DEJA's founders. -
Steve, this is a multi day overnight camping trip. Pardon the personal question but are you allowed to do something like that?Yes, I've already gotten clearance to go on little trips such as this with DEJA. Thanks for checking!
-
Is there anyone heading there from around the Newark/Bear area that wouldn't mind a co-pilot for this trip? I'd really love to go on this trip!
:):):):):):) Please!! :):):):):):)

Hello there Zona, nice to speak with you online at least. This is a great bunch of people on here, I say that from personal experience.
I can't wait to meet you. I may seem a bit odd at times, but I attribute that to my accident. (I'll fill in details on that if you want, just let me know!)
Great to have another Jeep owner around!

Thanks Billy!

So does anyone (Aaron perhaps) know what the status of my Jeep is? It's not that i'm trying to be a pest or anything like that by asking, I'm simply curious as all get out.
(OK... I confess... I'm really eager to drive again! To go from driving every day to no driving for the last 11 years... it's enough to drive you batty!)
IIRC, I read somewhere that someone was even going to pick up a new seat and the base from somewhere? Hmm... now if I only had that receipt from Quadratech... oh well! Not a problem, all I want is the Jeep home, when it's all done.

OK, Sorry for my ignorance here, but what was packed today? It wasn't the trail ride that I didn't get to go on, was it? (If so... *growl* hehehe...)
-
So will anyone be so kind as to stop by my house and pick me up for this run? I *really* wanna go!
-
did you keep ihe islander?Yes, I still own the very same 1989 Islander. Well, I say it's the same, but who knows... Aaron Stapen (astape) has had it at his house practically since the accident. He's been fixing it back up for me... plus some. By that I mean a full roll cage. (Wish I'd had one of them 11+ years ago!)
That's OK Joe, someday in the future I'll drive down there and we can go bomb around... ok?
Take it easy Joe... oh yeah, check your PM's.
-
OK... there's 6 days to go before this ride. Isn't there anyone that would take me along with them? I'd really appreciate it!
-
ordering supertop NX now. Also ordered a 13 short rubber antenna. Getting windows tinted today at 3 PM alsoI loved my Supertop when I had it. Nice, quick conversion to the topless Jeep... oh yeah! Tinted windows? Hmm... what are you having tinted, the hardtop ones? J/C...

I don't know the details of your situation but you had mentioned you weren't allowed to use the internet which leads me to believe you have a guardian or someone that should give approval for the ride. Is that the case Steve? My wife is my guardian, and I'm sure she'll agree to me going. She and my mom are always concerned that I'm pressuring people into things... but I don't think I have... or have I? (I certainly hope not!)
They have both told me during talks that we've had that they miss the old days of DEJA, how everyone seemed a little closer. I've told them both that DEJA is still a very close-knit group of people in my understanding.
Why... are you thinking of perhaps giving me a ride? It would be greatly appreciated if you were.
-
I'm in for this one as well, but in my "usual" capability: passenger seat. (Until Aaron gets my Jeep finished! No rush at all!!)
-
I'm still wanting to go on this DEJA trail run, but at the moment don't have anyone that's willing or able to take me along.
Doesn't anyone have a free passenger seat open to take one of the founding members of the club along with them?
Please?
-Steve
