I'm going to keep it a mall crawler. Lol. Blaine's will likely be on 32/33s. Mine, no idea yet. His is the main focus, because once I start mine it won't be moving anywhere for a while.

I'm on the beach every weekend. I try to stay away from Cape due to how crowded it gets. We typically end up towards South Bethany and Fenwick. I'll keep my eye out for when you guys go.

Name is Ed. Use to be part of the club years ago when I had a TJ. Well, 10 years later I am back with an 86 XJ. It's in decent shape. I am going to do a semi-full restoration of it with my son for his first vehicle. Will also be lifting it and doing some upgrades as we go. I am also picking up a second for myself. It's nice to be back.

Just installed a RE 3.5" SuperFlex lift with adjustable track bars and RE monotube shocks on a buddy's 99 TJ. Turned out pretty well. Was really surprised that the rear upper shock bolts didn't break, I've never had good luck with them. It's been nice getting under a few of these lately. Gonna post a pic as soon as I remember how.

As it says... looking for a soft top. Preferably black, but will entertain other options. Need rear sides and tailgate windows as well. Anyone? Please? Sweet, thanks. Kloveyoubye

Selling some Nitto Tera Grapplers. 325 60 18 (33.4x12.8). They have 80% or more tread remaining. I'll try to remember how to post pics on here in a bit, but for now can email them to anyone interested. I am putting them on Craigslist for 600. Will sell to a DEJA member for 450.

Yea... same thing really. Doing it for my sister. I haven't had a jeep since 2009 and really have no intentions of getting another one unless I build a buggy.
Keith, if you get to the point of offloading them, let me know.

As it says... I am looking for a JK lift. Budget boost or springs... doesn't really matter. It's a highway queen and only sees the sand as offroad. Not wanting anything over 3". Staying with 33s for various reasons. Let me know if anything is available.

I don't mind buying a kit if they are worth a shit. I just am not worried about gearing and lockers or the bells and whistles of the pricier models. I'm going to look at a black one this weekend in Salisbury.

I am tossing around the idea of getting a 4dr JK. Definitely base model with 4wd, any of you that know me know that it won't be stock long. I also know better than to buy any bells and whistles that I cannot do for a fraction of the price. I'll more than likely have it on 37s within the first year.

So, since I have been out of the game a while and don't know everything about the JKs, what are some things to look for and avoid? Axles, gears, lockers, and such doesn't matter much since most will be modded at some point. I'm more interested in motor, trans, recall, etc type of issues.

    E.

the goodyear 37 in the 16.5" flavor work decent. but they do make regular MTRs and even new tread pattern for them now. you can find them in surplus already.
