Sure is a lot of 4 door haters. I dont get it. If you guys saw an XJ with 32" tires, dual lockers, electronic disconnect, 4:1 gears, dana 44s. and removable door kit, you would compliment it. But this JK is such an abomination?

I dont think its an abomination, but the simple fact that the CJ/YJ/TJ have always been a two door(I belive), short wheel base, off-road machine. While these new models are most certainly as capable as previous(maybe even more so with new technology), it goes back to heritage. It would be like Chevrolet bringing back the 2009 Camaro and a 4 door and a luggage rack.

Thanks, but no thanks. I'll keep my leaf sprung Jeep. :driving:

    Totally Agree...lol ;D ;D

Only time will tell if these new JK's sell...Personally, I think they tried to rip of some styling cues from the H3 with the way the doors and tub look , I do however like the retro parking lights, kinda makes a tribute to the willys.

I use lucas in everything i own and work on...it made a huge difference in my colt with the old motor...I going to put it in my jeep this weekend when i change the oil before th fish'n tourney. Also, try the fuel additive...it burns HOT and clears the carbon out in no time.

I thought i saw your name on the side of that cherokee. BBD WAS HERE! I am going down in two weeks to get more parts for my 90. Sorry.

Thats almost an unwritten law there, Fire...another man has claimed that jeep :tsk: ...I've jumped across cars when i bought my 4g63T...i put a sold sign on my motor and while still in the yard some dude tried to pull parts from it(also at shorts)...aww Heck no.

J/K...its all fair game unless its paid for...then its off limits.

Yes, I remember the SRT-4 and the story. What a Wal-tard.

And the engine was replaced, courtesy of Wal-Mart, at Holden Dodge.

Yeah, that was crazy. i still remember the call from my friend Rich, He was like dont take your car there for even tires, shady place...thank god he got a new engine, suprized the said well u did drive off of wal-mart property..U know the usuall BS

A guy i know , Alex took his brand new SRT-4 to wal-mart for an oil change. So he pulls out of wal-mart(camden) heading north gets to about to where the Dunkin donuts is and is engine siezes...The tech looked up the filter for the 2.0l reg neon and not the 2.4 turbo. Cross theaded the filter on cause the threads are different, which means it had a "good seal". Engine built boost and oil pressure, out went the oil. That guy was fired on the spot...

I know it didnt happen on a jeep, but when i got my Dodge colt running back in 2003 it did the same thing. I replaced the filter, cleaned the TB but to no avail. I ended ep checking the fuel pump and sure enough 2 hours later and a new fuel pump see fired up and idled smooth. It still may be your Carb, but im just throwing out to check your fuel pump too...may be cheaper than if u replaced ur carb and still had the prob.

yeah it is sad that people will actually buy those...Theres a vid on streetfire.net that shows guys literally duct taping a leaf blower to the intake on a 305 camaro...pretty funny...dropped the 1/4 e/t by like 1.5 secs..

I would like to know what size that turbo is? I know Mitsubishi turbos very well...the 14b (TD04 housing) off of and auto dsm spools at about 1500 rpm with a 2.0l blowing on it. however the 16g (same as an evo)spools at about 2200 rpm. As for a trail rig like they said a supercharger would be best cause the hp/torque off of idle. I dont know what the compression on the 4.0 is but if it dosent have forged internals you wont be able to run very high boost. But if i was driving in my mirage(4g63t) and a jeep blew off at me i wouldnt belive my eyes(and ears)

I heard in the news where the CEO of Exxon got a $340,000 in severance. At least now we know why the price of Exxon gas has gone up.

I heard that too...but i thought they said his retirement was over 300 million...

There is a really good hobby shop out in Crofton, MD...I mean every car u could think of was there..i found a 86 IROC camaro there so they would deff have jeeps too. Give them a call and see if they have one...www.gpahobbies.com
