They're not cheap but when I have replaced lines in my El Camino or if I ever did anything like that in the jeep i'd probably go stainless. They last a really long time and their pretty tough as well.

Nope I checked any accessories such as lights, radio, heat, ac even the selectable 110 outlet. Yeah mine high idles til it gets sensors warm then switches to closed loop and drops to normal idle. This was at running temp sitting outside work and I could watch it rise and dip down. Even hooked up my Flashcal and diagnostics didn't show anything out of the ordinary.

I am curious as well. Hope this isn't a big issue... I just got traded in for this thing :upset:

    No CEL btw

So I just got my 14 JKR last week. I am dropping it off at dealer Sunday for them to check it out but here's the issue. I thought it was my foot pushing on the gas pedal while cruising and accelerating a little but it did it this morning while warming up. It's as if i give it a little more throttle, maybe 100 rpm higher idle for 2-3 seconds then it drops back to normal. It does it while cruising too and it's enough to feel the acceleration in your seat just a bit then it backs off (does it during cruise control as well after testing it on my lunch break). I thought it was because of my foot at first and being a 6spd vs auto since a manual is kind of locked to the engine rpm where an auto has the torque converter than might have been hiding it but it's almost rhythmic. 2-3 seconds then it's gone for a few minutes then it does it again.

Mainly concerned because it would be bad to have it happen in 1st gear pulling into a parking spot. Only 18k on the odometer and it's stock so it's under warranty but just wondering if anyone has seen this.

Bob I'm up for checking out some junk yards. What rear does a TJ Rubi come with? to get away from the D35? Maybe can find a totaled one somewhere.

Welcome to the dark side. The 4:1 low gear is awesome for rocks, but get used to that clutch because you'll run through the gears a lot faster than before. I love my Rubicon, I don't think I could buy a non-Rubi Jeep again unless I planned on doing some crazy build with new axles and Atlas transfer case.

Yeah between a 6spd and the 4.10s it does feel strange vs an auto. Still taking getting used to. Hill assist is pretty useful though and yes you do shift a lot.

On my phone, I just click and save off FB and then post using Tapatalk. Is the reality of your new purchase making you feel a little ill this morning?! Hope ya feel better bud.

I find myself switching my opinion hourly. One minute I wish I had my 4dr back, they next I'm excited to have a 2dr soft top rubi. It's really messing with me lol.

Nah just cold and can't get warm. I am usually a pretty thorough person and this was a pure impulse trade in lol. Well I had been thinking about it since my first Rausch trip but I definitely didn't expect to be at a car dealership after work yesterday. I just feel like i have 2 left feet learning the clutch again. Engagement is so high compared to my old sportscar. Once I get used to the clutch on hills I'll be ready for Rausch lol.

Well I made a very impulsive decision and traded in the 4dr for a 2dr Rubicon. Still gotta get my stuff swapped over (wheels/tires/safe etc) and get used to a manual again. Auto spoiled me for so long lol. :driving:

Now I won't high center myself quite so damn much. And lockers are always cool to have.

For Sunday, how many groups do you think we'll have? Looks like:
    1) 101 Group doing Greens and maybe some blues
    2) Black/Red Group

Is there enough interest for a third group of Blue-blackish?

I'm doing 101 but hoping to maybe meet up with the black/red group at lunch and find an open seat to see some different stuff. Maybe get some cool Gopro videos

For the new folks attending the 101 trail ride on Sunday, we'll be reviewing the information on this post: https://www.delawareja.com/forum/index.php?topic=30.0 regarding mandatory and recommended equipment and supplies. The original writeup is 10+ year old, but the main ideas haven't changed. One thing that isn't mentioned is fuel... please show up with enough gas to make it through the day, if you're unsure how much that'll take, I recommend that you refuel in town. :)

Also, Rausch does not have food. So make sure you bring food with you for the day. Last time we wheeled til 3-4 I think. So plan accordingly.

For the off road vehicle section I'm assuming I just put my jeep I'll be taking. And leaving tow rig the? Also how much will it be for the weekend? $55?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

Yup just leave tow rig empty or N/A whichever you prefer. And yeah I think it was around $55. I bought a sticker so mine was different

Buddy has basically the same truck. I can't remember what he needed to fix but I remember him saying "It's easier to just remove the whole cab" and I thought he was kidding.

    Maybe replacing injectors or something?

And everytime I stop by their shop and their rebuilding an auto trans I just walk away. Waaaaay too many parts involved.

This would really complicate getting a jeep to have a lot of suspension travel correct? Wonder how long it'll be before *Insert big name suspension company* comes out with a solid axle swap kit once they get a hold of it.

Keep solid axles and go diesel? Too bad they don't offer solid axle options like Ford did with their new Mustangs instead of IRS. (Or at least they were planning to do that)
