Jeep. ‘Light utility vehicle’. I’m just flabbergasted (that means lying on the floor leaking bodily fluids) that the ‘jeep’ is being perverted with 4-doors, and “towing capacity”. Sorry.

Just kidding; I sold my ‘94 YJ to local mechanic (reliable auto) in exchange for parts and labor on maintenance on a 2012 JK I bought, and I’m sort of really missing the old pile; it was wore out with 240+k miles (4-cyl), but we went thru a LOT of crap together! I’m sort of hoping I can buy “old stinky” back again someday!

I would LIKE to like it- but it’s not easy on these old, tired eyes. It just looks bloated in the middle, with a bed stuck out back. Maybe I just need a nap....

because, to me;, And if you look up the defination of a jeep’, its ‘A Smalll sturdy vehicle with 4WD, especially one used by the military’. Ok, there are many variations of ‘the jeep’, but the wrangler is the only one semi-faithfull to original intent. Even tho, the newest version is 2 times heavier than the original....

I’dunno..those specs look like they want to go up against F-150 Silverado Ram Titan etc. - I just don’t think that’s very ‘jeep’.

Yeah, ‘Gladiator’ sounds too much like ‘Titan’ or ‘Goliath’; since jeep already has Cherokee and Comanche, how about Apache , Mohave, Navajo, or other, also to honor the peoples to come before us.

One only has to research the Ford thunderbird to understand how ‘off the rails’ a car company can go and end up with nothing. What started out as one of the coolest cars in 1955 (in response to 1953 corvette) did not stay true to it’s original design intent, while the corvette (still) kills it.

The covered up prototype wheelbase looks loooong, and the ‘bed’ looks like 4 ft. (Maybe)
So, useless bed, which will get covered by a shell of some kind.
Pretty useless, I predict FAIL if it’s a 4-door.

Try boiled linseed oil. It’s cheap, and lasts for months. I know it sounds crazy, but I applied it on my faded front bumper, and it made it look black again.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always ‘wanted’ a Cj / wrangler pickup. A jeep (to me) is a light and short- today’s ‘jeep’ is heavy and even 4-door.
Today’s jeep is definitely not the original concept. Not even close.
4 dooors on a pickup? Why not 6? Stretch limo what it looking like.
Good grief! All I would like is a wrangler pickup truck, not a station wagon!!
