Will the stock tire carrier on an 04 TJ hold the weight of a 33x12.50 on a 15x10 rim? I have the warn adjustment bracket to move it up and out a little but was told that it would be to heavy. Anyone have any experience with this?

show a pic of the bracket
weight shouldnt be an issuse
lots of guys have done that with no problems for yearsdo u have a body lift
i recommend that u not use the spacer
and try to make sure the tire contacts the rubber stops
on the tailgate so it wont bounce as much
might need to space them out to do that tho -
depends on your backspacing and if you have a body lift. i had a 2" bl and 15x8 wheels with 3.75" backspacing and they fit fine. need to relocate the 3rd break light to make it fit.

when i had my 33 on my stock TJ tailgate it bent it down, same with mel93yj's stock tailgate on her yj.....LOD offroad makes a nice rear bumper/tire carrier for $3XX that fits up to a 37 or something.

Thanks, that's exactly what I want to avoid. I have a smittybilt tube rear bumper on now. Q-tec shows it with or without the tire carrier add-on but doesn't sell just the carrier. Anyone from Q-tec reading? can you get just the carrier for this and attach it to the bumper???
Here's what I have:
