Finally got the clear coat sprayed yesterday. Really happy with the results. Also installed a new exhaust thanks to Luke and Gino.

Ain't it pretty?
New driver side alloy axle shafts to replace the ones that had egged-out u-joint ears.
Who doesn't love seeing the number 4340 on a Jeep part?
I cleaned up the battery terminals and redid the wiring on the positive side. Sometime during the process I cut a wire that connected to the PDC and have no idea what it's for - but eveything seems to work without it. Thinking it's some access or something the PO did?

I just bought all my chromo shafts for my 60s one at a time from the Amazon warehouse. The drivers inner was 52 dollars. I got two rear shafts for the driver side of my 60 for 32 bucks total.

This is over the course of this year.
My frame went from this in my frame to this.
I chipped the scale off a used bumper I bought and painted it. I also added some back up lights in the bumper.
I also replaced all my rear suspension bolts and bushings, cut out and replaced my rear body mounts, replaced my drivers seatbelt and re-installed my cb antenna after it was ripped off.
Now I bit the bullet and ordered a trans rebuild kit.
Did I mention I never really worked on vehicles and kinda don’t like working on them.

what trans is in it?
what trans is in it?
Ax15
I already rebuilt the transfer case. Once I do the trans the motor will be the only thing left. The axles are already done.
The trans is starting to have issues grinding goin in and out of 3rd.

typical failure on an ax-15. Be aware its a difficult trans to rebuild and the parts sometime exceed the cost of a reman unit. I would say the transfer case is a 2-3 on a 10 scale. The ax-15 is a 7-8. Just dont want to see u dive into something thats not worth the effort.
I just got done chucking a new relay in my winch and a $17 wireless control from Amazon.
This is a pic with the old relay but the little box in the corner is the wireless receiver. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work for most if not all winches out there.
I’m a little disappointed that the reverse contacts on the relay went bad. I’ve only used the winch a couple times so there no reason for the contacts to stop working. At least I found it in testing the wireless controller and not when I actually needed the winch.

Finally got a back bumper on the Tj. Picked it up from the closeout deal from Bestop thanks to the club. Also got my dad a front bumper for his LJ.

Installed heated seats into my factory seats by installing heated seat pads under the OEM seats of my XJ using this link for reference: https://www.jeepforum.com/foru…3/#/topics/1155113?page=5
Kit came from Amazon just peeled back the upholstery to put the pads in, tapped into the cigarette lighter for the switches so they turn on/off with ACC, and drilled into the center console for the switches.
Finished this mod just in time for them to be completely irrelevant because it’s summer.

I bought seat heaters a couple years ago intending to do the same thing..last fall I sold them because I was going to buy new seats with heaters already installed. Then I didnt buy new seats so I had a cold butt all winter and my seats are still falling apart
I simply washed it! Nothing more.

Installed new antennas for the CB in the 2 JK's. Tuned them with the SWR meter and good to go.
Started replacing the spacer lift and old springs with fresh 3" springs. Got the rear done yesterday.
Got my 86 CJ7 inspected today. 3000 miles last year. Monday I bled the brakes. Put a new master cylinder in months ago but all bleeders where not moving and didn't want to break them. Hit them with kroil many times, a miniductor, and hammering sharply on a bleeder wrench got them all lose and bled. Nice to have properly working brakes again.
