New Cabelas in Delaware

Droooll! We're planning a trip up to the one in Hamburg next weekend. I need to get some gear for my boar hunt.

just heard on channel 6 news that cabelas is going to start construction on a new location right next to the christiana mall. Ground breaking in winter of 2013 opening in 2014........It's about time !

Well, since it seems like they have been working on that interchange in some form or another since I moved down here in 2000, I would say unrelated. Lol

I think they're all the same size, I've only seen 3 but they've all been the same size: gigantic.

The 95/1 roadwork is to alleviate the rush hour backup that happens every day and the massive backup every Friday afternoon in the summer. You know, from all the cars with PA plates.

oh that's tiny... the Hamburg store is 250,000. Most (non-super) Walmarts are around 100,000, for a size comparison.

Cool but the road work on the interchange is definitely an overall sign of the the growth in the area and Cabela's is only going to be a small percentage of it. Honestly with Nordstrom and Target right there, the demographic for Cabela's is in the minority.

The PA store is one of (if not) the largest according to THIS. Still most of that is "show" space like aquariums and taxidermy showcases whereas this DE store will likely be mostly retail....so they will probably be not that far off in total retail space. This is just a guess obviously. And DE is tax free which is nicer so all of us PA peeps can test out your new roads (if they ever get done).
