Hi folks I currently have a 98 tj that's stock with the exception of a set of 31's. I'm looking to be able to run at least a set of 33x12.5/15 tires. I'm new to the coil sprung jeeps as where my previous one was a leaf spring set up. When I bought this jeep it came with a new in the box performance Accessories 1" body lift. If I do use this I'll be adding a 1" mm lift also. Could y'all experts give me some options for suspension lifts to fit a set of 33's? Thanks
Lift advice!

I run 2.5 inch rc springs ( wouldn't recommend) with old man emu shocks. With the sway bars on the I do rub with the stock fenders but I run 33x12x15. Not sure yet with my new fenders. So I would at least recommend a 2.5 in lift with your current body lift.

33s on my 97 tj. 2" spacers, 1.25" jks body lift, 1" mml. 15x7 wheels with 3.75" backspacing and no rub if the sway bars are connected.

How much spring or bb lift can you do before different control arms are needed?
-
Usually 4" before you need adjustable control arms, no need with 2.5. I ran 33s with the OME 2.5" lift for a while and highly recommend it. Do that and the jks 1.25" body life and youll be rocking.
I have a set of new, unopened aluminum xfer case drop pucks I would let go for next to nothing if you want them.

Stafford pretty much nailed it.
And the body lift doesn't effect suspension geometry so it's essentially free lift.
After 3.5-4.0 of suspension lift you are looking at control arms, SYE, driveshaft, shocks, etc.

Sweet so which is recommend more a new spring or spacers? I'm not a big fan of lowering the tcase so when that time comes I'm planning on tucking it!

Depends how you use the vehicle. If it is going to be street driven, a spacer will provide the look but offer a factory ride. A full replacement spring will tend to be a harsher ride, although the OME 2.5" springs seem to be the exception in most online reviews. If you are planning to tummy tuck the T-case you will def need to purchase a SYE and CV driveshaft. You will most likely need a Motor Mount Lift as well to maintain a suitable driveline angle. -
I'm looking to put 33's on my 92 yj. What would you guys recommend?
-
Well tbh I saw Daystar has a 3" spacer kit including shocks. 4wheel parts has for around $350.00 so unless I find a better deal or someone tells me the shocks are junk then most likely I'll go with that kit.

3.5" or 4" springs. You will either need a T-case drop or a Slip Yoke Eliminator with a CV driveshaft. -
33x12.5x15 on my Rubicon and it has 4" springs. 1" MML and 1.25"body lift along with a 1" transfer drop. A bit much bit it works. Going either with 35 or 37 tires next round though. No death wobble or anything but again has a SYE. Did replace the quick disconnects with JKS also the front track bar also JKS. Drones like a dream at down the highway.

For a TJ, 2-2.5 spacers and 1-1.25 body lift will fit 33s nicely

What spring lifts are idea without breaking the bank? I won't be offroading much but if I do it'll not be harsh.
-
you can use your stock springs with the spacers.

On my 4in lift can I run 2.25 inch coil spacers and still have a sturdy ride? Would I need to upgrade any other part of my suspension before I add more lift? Has coils all the way around.

Assuming u mean u want to put the spacers on top of ur 4 inch springs...
Hard to say w/o looking at it, but short answer is probably yes. Likely control arms, drive shaft and Sye. May need shocks too. Some Grand Cherokee guys will prob chime in with more specifics

Well I'm planning on going with the Daystar 3" spacer since I ordered a ecgs 8.8 rear. I'm going to get adjustable uppers for the rear also. Then a tummy tuck and she later on.
