I was running some wire on my Wrangler and the two wires(white and black) came off the bracket on the tailgate door for the third brake light 
. The ones that connect to the butt connection with the door is open and closed. A little plastic box covers the the wires and bracket. Hopefully that is enough description. If someone could help me out with a wire diagram or look at their wires and see which color wire is on bottom and on top it would be greatly appreciated. My Wrangler is an 03' btw. Thanks!

it doesnt matter, they are interchangable.

it dosent matter for the factory application. one is positive when the brake is applied the other is ground polarity does not really matter unless you are hooking up a LED brake light.

Yea I had a LED brake light wired up. I got it. I got my meter from my buddy thanks. White bottom black top.
