Rt. 50 Bridge Closing

They're closing the bridge starting this week for +/- 60 days to do some work on the lifting mechanism for the drawbridge. I usually go down 113 anyway if I'm going to Assateague, but it's going to throw a wrench into stopping at Lombardi's on the way home

I read about it in the paper a while ago when they were making plans to re-route traffic and station some fire equipment on the other side of the bridge. I just happened to hear it on the radio this morning. I would have been annoyed if I had gone all the way down through town and couldn't get over the bridge.

Bridge reopened day before yesterday except for intermittent lane restrictions, I think, didn't take as long as I had heard.
