i have a generator that im trying to get rid of for a friend of mine. it is a 14kw whole house generator, its actually being used for a commercial office. the brand is guardian by generac, he told me if works and runs fine just the part that automatically switches it on needs to be replaced. it is a propane generator and comes with 2 large tanks included with it. i will have a licensed electrician disconnect everything for whoever wants it. i was looking at comparable brand new models and they went for 13,000 hes asking 2,500 or best offer. anyone interested or feedback on price is helpful.

I install these for a living and could hook this up for someone if needed.
Not sure where you saw it sold for $13000 but it sells brand new with a 3 yr warranty for $3292 and that includes the transfer switch. Depends on what the new buyer wants to do with it but a new transfer switch will be between $400 and $685.
Just saying.

i think i was looking at the wrong size unit when i researched it online, im thinking maybe 600$ for the generator and then 150$ for each 100 gallon tank. willing to seperate the tanks if anyone is interested.

Dibs upon checking it out.Just an FYI. Install prices range from $1500 - $2000 depending on situation
You will still need the transfer switch to make it work.
Also how old is this unit, and how often has it been maintained?
How many hours are on it?

Exactly why I said upon checking it out.
