Hardtop Lift

  • I took my hardtop off today and decided I'd take a couple of pics of my hoist set up.

As you can see I mounted the winch near the top of the ceiling and ran the winch line up through the trusses on a set of pullys (beefed up the trusses also) and then back down through a hole to the hoist brackets. All I have to do is back in, unbolt, turn the hoist hooks into the top and press a button and up it goes. Takes all of about 3 minutes. And I still have plenty of room to pull back in under it.

Heres a poser shot just because its the first one since the lift with the top and doors off.

  • I'd do it again in a heart beat. I can take the top off by myself in about 5 minutes. That includes unbolting it.
You only need one hand to take it off. If you have any questions I can point you in the right directions to get the parts.
    Let me know :wavey:
