NV3500 in a 98 TJ= room to brag.

  • I left at 5:30am to pick up my NV3500 tranny from timbuckto, PA. Hauled it over to work, worked a full day then at 4:30pm started tearing out the old beat up ax15. I had it out in about 45 minutes. Set up the new clutch bolted the new tranny back to the transfer case and jacked it up into place. I didnt expect to get it finished by friday night but all in all it only took about 3 1/2 hours. It would have been faster but Auto Zone screwed me over on the clutch I ordered the day before so I had to go to Pep Boys and they had one in stock. The only thing I had to change was the clutch, I had to use a 2000 clutch and bell housing. This is only the second tranny and clutch I have ever done and I just had to brag a little bit. The jeep drives like a new vehicle. I took it on her maden voyage down rt. 9 through 3 feet of water that night and have been having fun with it ever sence.
